Welcome to Elyasia's RP Forums, an expansive sandbox creatively situated within the realm of Elyasia along with its four interconnected realms. Our primary objectives are to foster creativity, encourage community engagement, and promote innovative world-building among participants. Elyasia serves as a multifaceted slice-of-life project, allowing diverse characters and narratives to intertwine, resulting in a rich tapestry of storytelling. This setting functions as a vast crossover, offering limitless opportunities for interaction and imagination among the community members.

Please remember that this forum does not permit OOC accounts. Register using the name of the character or original character (OC) you wish to portray. Only staff members are allowed to have multiple accounts.Unless you buy a new account to do the whole OOC account and IC account. But you are limited on how many IC accounts you can get. So keep that in mind.

Note: All new accounts need to complete Activation Justification, which simply requires you to explain why you are joining us. It helps prevent spam accounts from joining. If you are joining us to RP, post graphics, etc., then just say so. You can even just mention one of the canons as the reason, for fun that is. XD

Classes, Tutorials, and Resources

In this section of the Guild, we have our most useful information stored and available for members to access. Among the threads you will find in this section are Classes and Workshops, Tutorials, and Resources. Only full Guild Members are allowed to post in this section, but all of our threads are visible to any visitors; if you would like to fully join our Writing and Roleplaying Guild, please start here: Guild Rules and Information

A Resource is anything a member may find useful and wants to share with others, from lists of Gods and Goddesses that they found helpful, to tips on using the active voice, or a writing program that helps an author concentrate on the task at hand. Any Writing Guild Member is free to post any resource they found helpful or informative!

When posting a resource, please tag the title of your thread with [Resource] and a description of the resource.

Tutorials, or Walkthroughs, are member-generated (or discovered) guides to creating content; typically what separates a Tutorial/Walkthrough from a Resource is that a Resource is like an encyclopedia, whereas a Tutorial is like a guide on how to use that material. Examples would be like how to set up a character profile, how to build a character personality, or how to create a believable magical system.

When posting a tutorial, please tag the title of your thread with [Tutorial] or [Walkthrough] and a description of the tutorial.

Classes, Tutorials, and Resources

Classes are lessons presented by the Guild, often by Masters or Rainbow Rose Stamp Holders, and are designed to help aspiring writers master a technique or skill important to the writing process, or focus on an aspect of a story to flesh it out into greater detail. Members must sign up to participate in a class, and are expected to participate when they sign up by meeting goals and deadlines with assignments given by the presenter.

For example, Classes in the past have focused on writing/roleplaying exciting action scenes and fight sequences.

Workshops are round-table discussions lead by the Guild, often by Masters or Rainbow Crystal Stamp Holders, wherein members have a focused discussion on one aspect of writing, usually via a chatting service to keep ideas moving quickly. They differ from classes in that rather than having one person presenting, you have multiple people talking about their experiences and what they have done in the past to get over certain hurdles in the writing process. Members must sign up to participate in a workshop and are expected to be online and ready to go at the time of the workshop's posted start time.

For example, Workshops in the past have focused on Otaku Senshi Creation and Inspiration.

The Practice Area
The practice area subsection is a region reserved for practicing ideas, concepts, and/or techniques taught in a class or a workshop. While it can be used to practice roleplaying, any roleplaying done in the practice area should not follow a specific storyline (though may have elements that are being practiced) and should be used only to enhance a player's writing ability, thus is expected to be critiqued within the thread by Fellowship Program members or the Class or Workshop host.

Suggest a Class or Workshop Idea

We are always looking for Class or Workshop ideas; if you have an idea and are a Guild Master, please feel free outline your idea and PM it to SalyaDarken for approval; if you are not a guild mentor but have an idea you would like to see, or have a general process you would like to participate in a class or workshop about, please initiate a discussion with SalyaDarken in PMs.

Ideas for Future Workshops/Classes:
  • Writing: World Building (cultures, maps, sci-fi/fantasy), keeping deadlines, making a relatable character, keeping reader's interest
  • Roleplaying: Profile creation, character-driven vs story-driven roleplays and how to blend the two, regaining interest, boosting activity
