Other Races
Can be found: Throughout all regions of Elyasia, particularly in border territories where different species interact regularly.
Powers: Typically possess diluted versions of their non-human parent's abilities, though some rare individuals develop unique powers that combine both bloodlines in unexpected ways. Many half-breeds demonstrate exceptional adaptability and resilience.
Other: Half-breeds are neither uncommon nor subjected to mistreatment in Elyasia society. They often serve as cultural bridges between communities and are valued for their unique perspectives. Those with dragon heritage are known as "Branded," typically identified by scale patterns somewhere on their body (Soren is the only branded that only has an odd symbol on his forehead, while those with yokai blood are called "hanyō." Some half-breeds form their own communities where they celebrate their dual nature through distinctive art forms and cultural practices.
Humans - In Elyasia, humans appear physically similar to those of other realms but are relatively uncommon. They have standard human features without the supernatural traits that mark other races, though many develop heightened awareness of magical energies due to constant exposure.
Can be found: Small enclaves throughout Elyasia, often in trading hubs or neutral territories.
Powers: Humans possess no inherent special abilities or powers, though their adaptability and resourcefulness are renowned. Some develop specialized skills through intense training or study that can rival magical abilities.
Other: Despite their lack of supernatural powers, humans in Elyasia have carved out important niches through innovation and determination. They excel at crafting tools and technologies that compensate for their natural limitations. Human settlements often feature defensive innovations and specialized structures designed to provide protection from magical threats. Many humans become scholars, diplomats, or traders who facilitate connections between different yokai factions.
Battle Demons (Mazoku) - These rare and formidable beings appear mostly humanoid but emanate an unmistakable aura of controlled power. During combat, their bodies transform partially—displaying tribal markings, elongated ears, and sometimes altered skin tones. Their eyes change color when channeling their tremendous energy.
Can be found: Extremely rare and scattered throughout Elyasia, often in remote training grounds or ancient power sites. Original from the northern lands of the Makai (Demon world)
Powers: Exceptional physical strength, devastating energy projection abilities, and combat instincts that border on precognition. Their power grows exponentially during battle, allowing them to adapt to opponents in real-time.
Other: Battle Demons or Mazoku are one of the rarest species in Elyasia. Their origins are shrouded in mystery, with some believing they evolved from humans who underwent spiritual awakening through near-death experiences. They live extraordinarily long lives and often withdraw from society to master their volatile powers. Notable Mazoku like Yusuke and Raizen have shaped Makai history through their legendary battles and unusual restraint. Most Mazoku follow a strict personal code regarding when and how their powers should be used.
Magick Users (Mages, Healers, Sages) - These individuals appear outwardly normal for their base race but can be identified by the magical implements they carry and often by their distinctive attire that incorporates symbols relevant to their magical discipline. More powerful practitioners may have eyes that change color when casting or faint glowing sigils that appear on their skin.
Can be found: Throughout Elyasia, with particular concentrations near portals, ancient academies, and natural wonder sites.
Powers: Magical abilities related to their specialized elements or disciplines. Each tradition has unique casting methods—some use incantations, others gestures, while some require specific implements or components.
Other: The magical community in Elyasia is diverse and specialized, with numerous traditions and schools of thought. While occasionally classified as demons or dragons, such cases are quite uncommon. Formal magical training typically requires apprenticeship, though some rare individuals develop abilities spontaneously. Witches and Warlocks form a distinctive subset with hereditary practices and specialized familial grimoires. Most magic users belong to professional guilds or circles that regulate magical practice and preserve ancient knowledge.
Unknowns - These enigmatic beings appear outwardly human but possess a timeless quality in their eyes that hints at their true nature. They maintain human appearances regardless of their true age, though close observation might reveal subtle inconsistencies like outdated speech patterns or references to historical events as personal memories.
Can be found: ---The Royal family.
Powers: Agelessness, unusual magical abilities that don't conform to established magical systems, and often an innate connection to the land of Elyasia itself. Many demonstrate prophetic abilities or unusual influence over fate.
Other: The most mysterious race in Elyasia, the Unknowns' true origins remain shrouded in secrecy. The royal family serves as the prime example of this race, with their lineage stretching back to Elyasia's founding. They often serve as guardians of ancient knowledge too dangerous for general circulation. Unknowns typically avoid drawing attention to their nature, preferring to guide events subtly from positions of influence. Their existence is acknowledged but rarely discussed openly in Elyasian society.

- Female members of the species are referred to as witches, embracing their enchanting abilities, while the male counterparts are known as warlocks, who are often viewed as the rare gems of this society.
- It’s important to note that males are significantly less common compared to females, making the presence of warlocks a rare and valued occurrence among the population of witches.
- When it comes to their physical appearance, they closely resemble ordinary humans, showcasing all the familiar traits of human beings. However, there is one distinct characteristic that sets them apart: a unique mark that appears somewhere on their bodies.
- This mark serves as a profound symbol, representing a deep connection to their soulmates. For instance, my original character Raina, who is intricately linked to Sesshomaru, bears a mark resembling a dog paw, which is prominently located on her hip. This mark not only signifies her bond with daiyokai but also highlights the intricate connections that exist within this magical lore.
- In addition to their marks, witches and warlocks possess the remarkable ability to stop aging in their early to mid-20s, effectively rendering them perpetually youthful. They remain in a state of eternal youth between the ages of 20 and 25, allowing them to experience life without the constraints of aging that affect ordinary humans.
- As for their magical abilities, witches and warlocks have the potential to learn and master an extensive range of magical practices. Their magical prowess is vast, although their owners may choose to limit them to a specific elemental focus if desired. The decision on how to navigate their magical paths is entirely in the hands of the creator, allowing for a personalized and unique experience.
- When it comes to matters of pregnancy, female witches can only conceive with their soulmate(s), and intriguingly, they will not exhibit visible signs of pregnancy. This phenomenon is reminiscent of the premise found in the show 'I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant,' where the lack of outward signs leads to unexpected revelations. In contrast, male warlocks have the ability to father children with individuals outside of their magical race. Additionally, female witches possess the extraordinary capability to influence various traits of their unborn child, giving them a unique role in shaping the future generation.
- Focusing on birth rates, there is a fascinating statistical breakdown: there is a 5% likelihood that a witch or warlock will emerge from a regular human family, which emphasizes the rarity of their existence. The chances increase to 25% if there is witch or warlock lineage present in the family tree. Furthermore, if a witch conceives with another race—be it human, shifter, or another being—the likelihood of a magical offspring rises to 50%. Most intriguingly, when both parents are a witch and a warlock, the chance of their child being born with magical abilities reaches a certainty of 100%.
- Every witch or warlock is born with a grimoire, a mystical book that materializes when their magical abilities begin to awaken. This grimoire holds significant value as it contains all the spells they acquire throughout their lives, serving as a testament to their growth and mastery of magic.
- Occasionally, witches and warlocks may experience a remarkable phenomenon: they can be reincarnated with their previous magical abilities, retaining their grimoire, along with all of their past memories and spells. However, this extraordinary occurrence varies depending on the specific original character, adding an element of unpredictability and excitement to the lore.
