Story: Mathias is an Inu Daiyokai. His bloodline is the greatest demon bloodline in all of Feudal Japan, and he is a pure-blood in the line. This gives him the abilities of a perfect demon, and as such he is one of the most powerful characters in the series. He is described as the "strongest demon in the Warring States era." Mathias is Sesshomaru's son. His goal is to acquire as much power as he can so he can surpass his father. Mathias often is pictured with a blank expression as he tends to restrain his emotions (unless it is anger, frustration, or dissatisfaction). He has defeated many enemies, and he is knowledgeable in a wide array of subjects due to his experience. He uses many techniques and abilities to demolish opponents. Mathias can be too much like his father but hidden behind close doors, he enjoys reading or getting affection from his mother who is a witch. Mathias and Sesshomaru are indifferent to each other but Mathias does respect his father yet he often just turns him out. Mathias and his uncle, InuYasha get oddly along. Mathias would help InuYasha if he needs it, or he just walks away. He dislike humans but doesn't show it.

He seems calm almost cold yet he is gentle to the princess. He turns out the other knights yet he finds Sinta interesting. He is also protective of his cousin, Allen as well as of his close ones.
