Story

Mathias is an Inu Daiyokai, born from the most illustrious demon bloodline in all of Feudal Japan, and he is a pureblood in this lineage. This heritage bestows upon him the capabilities of a perfect demon, making him one of the most formidable characters in the series. He is referred to as the "strongest demon of the Warring States era." Mathias is the son of Sesshomaru, and his ambition is to amass as much power as possible to surpass his father.

Often depicted with a blank expression to mask his emotions—except when experiencing anger, frustration, or dissatisfaction—Mathias has defeated numerous foes and possesses a wealth of knowledge across a broad spectrum of subjects, thanks to his extensive experience. He employs various techniques and abilities to overpower his adversaries.

While Mathias shares certain traits with his father, behind closed doors, he indulges in reading and seeks affection from his mother, who is a witch. His relationship with Sesshomaru is marked by indifference; despite his respect for his father, Mathias often dismisses him. Conversely, Mathias and his uncle, InuYasha, share an unexpectedly harmonious bond. He is willing to assist InuYasha when needed, though at times he simply walks away. Although he harbors a disdain for humans, he keeps these feelings concealed.

In Eylasia, Mathias is the fifth knight to Princess Mira, the ruler of the southern lands. Frequently found in the library, he immerses himself in books about the realm or wanders through the southern landscapes. While he may appear calm and somewhat aloof, he exhibits a gentle demeanor toward the princess. He often turns away from the other knights, yet he finds Sinta uniquely captivating. Additionally, Mathias is fiercely protective of his cousin Allen, as well as his loved ones.
