Chapter 7
Aniki and InuYasha were on their way to the training grounds -- a clear area about five miles from the Castle that the Protectors used for training. Aniki carrying his Banyruu and InuYasha had his Tetsusaiga. Once they reached the grounds, the two Demons set to practicing.
For months now, they had been practicing, honing their skills. They were perfect as sparing partners since both used very large, powerful swords. Sparks flew as their huge swords met, but Aniki could not overpower the Dog Demon. The Banyruu was equal to the power of the Tetsusaiga but Aniki was not full grown. He was only 14 and did not have the strength to overpower InuYasha. Every time they had come out, InuYasha always overpowered the young Thunder Demon. And today Aniki suddenly lost his temper, having been beaten one too many times.
He raised his sword high in the air and called down his power. Dark clouds rolled in blotting out the sun and the Banyruu glowed with static electricity. Suddenly bolts of lightning filled the air and InuYasha threw himself flat on the ground to get out of their reach. "Aniki!" he screamed. The younger Demon suddenly realized what he was doing and withdrew his power. The lightning stopped and the sky cleared instantly. He ran to InuYasha's side.
"Are you alright?" He asked, helping him stand, "I'm so sorry! I lost my temper."
"Well, at least we know your thunder powers work okay," InuYasha grumbled, "Don't ever do that again!"
Deciding to call it a day, the Demons returned to the Castle. Terrible news was waiting for them: Tekki had disappeared!
InuYasha led the search for Tekki, but it was the same as Kouga's disappearance. The same sleeping gas was found and a hint of a portal, but not enough to let Bakura open the portal and find out where the Bobcat Demon was.
Kenru was distraught, sobbing helplessly. She was furious at herself for crying like this. She was stronger than this! But her beloved Tekki -- and today was going to be so special for them! Princess Aara looked at her when she said the last out loud.
"Special? How do you mean?"
Kenru looked up at Aara, her eyes filled with misery. "Oh, Princess, I found out this morning that I am pregnant. Kaiba told me and I was going to tell Tekki tonight when he got home. He would have been so happy!"
"And he will be! Don't give up, Kenru, we will find him." she promised.
Long weeks passed without a clue surfacing to the whereabouts of Kouga and Tekki. It seemed as if the earth itself had swallowed them up. Both Kagome and Kenru went out daily to search, hoping, praying, that one day they would find the answers that would lead them to their loved ones. As each day passed, their spirits fell deeper into despair.
On Jodah's island, despair was also in the hearts of the two captives. Kouga dreaded Sakio's weekly visits. Each time he arrived, he made the Wolf Demon feel things that he had never thought possible and a deep depression was settling on his heart because of it. And there was an unspoken question just under the surface. Is this what Kagome felt when he entered her? The feeling of being stuffed and stretched? And since he didn't know anything about a secret spot inside, was she even feeling pleasure? Did she just put up the horrible sensation because she loved him? Kouga, who always bounced back from all adversities, began to brood, growing quiet and depressed. But even through his depression, he always gave the appearance of a fight when Sakio came for him, growling at the man. But he knew it was as phony as everything else around him. There was nothing he could do to Sakio.
As terrible as Kouga had it, Tekki's life was a hundred fold worse. He lived in a sea of agony. Kugaro soon realized that it took two days for the Bobcat to completely heal. So on every third day, he came to the island, just after Tekki had healed. And it seemed that on each visit, Kugaro would bring another instrument of torture with him. Tekki moaned when he saw them and screamed when they were forced into him. Did the Human World actually make these things or were they designed by Kugaro?
Kugaro had procured more of the magic rope from Jodah and had rings and hooks put into the ceiling. He would hang the helpless Bobcat from these rings, bound hand and foot by the rope, and then the torture would begin.
After hours of agony and only after Tekki was bleeding profusely, Kugaro would take him down from the hooks and push him facedown on the bed, still bound and helpless. Nothing aroused Kugaro more than this, and he shoved himself into the tortured Demon, loving the whimpers of pain and the slick feel of blood. Many hours later Tekki was finally released, falling into a tortured heap on the floor.
Tekki would curl into a fetal position, as if trying to make himself as small as possible, and make little whimpering noises, barely audible. The maid would come the next morning and find him lying there, and she would pull him up, wash off the blood, and put him to bed.
The island was taking a terrible toll on both Demons and neither of them would ever be the same.
