Vara and the Red Dragon

She walked quietly into his room, not wanting to wake him. It was so hard for him to sleep because of the pain. The nurse sat there, keeping vigil over him, and nodded to her. She motioned to the nurse to leave and she silently left the room. Vara sat in the chair just vacated and moved a little closer to him.
He was red fire, even in his human form. She wished that she had seen him as a Dragon. Perhaps one day he would change for her.
His deep red hair was fairly short and she knew his eyes were a strange red that seemed to be lit from within. Kyoryugeromaru was his full very unwieldy name, but he shortened it to Kyo. He had saved her new world - Suzaku - from the threat of another great dragon, the Black Dragon Rhu, and had almost paid with his life. When Kyo was brought to Suzaku by Chichiri, she did not know how he was even alive. Blood didn't just spill out of him, it poured out like sheets of rain. His skin was chalk white and there was barely a pulse. The healer, Mitsukake, did what he could and at least the blood stopped its flood. Two days later, the healer mage of Otherworld, Kaiba, arrived via a portal and healed him further. Now only time would heal him completely, but it was going to be a long, painful process.
Six foot-long fangs had torn into his dragon body and, even as a man, the terrible wounds remained from shoulder to stomach, deep holes that would not heal. She had loved him the moment she saw him, after he had saved Sesshomaru, the Lord of the Western Lands of Demon World, and he had saved him just for the fun of it. But he had looked at her and had seen nothing that he wanted. Instead he opted for her mother, achieving only a few of nights of passion.
Why was she daydreaming of a man who had already rejected her? She was no longer a secondary princess in her mother's land, Otherworld. She was now a Queen, Queen Vara, and not just of Suzaku, but of the entire Four Gods World. Although soon it would be renamed Suzaku, since there were no longer four countries, having been combined into one after the Great War. She did not need to grovel before this man! And yet every night she came to sit at his side, just to be near him - to touch him - to watch him. "Foolish girl!" she admonished herself. She stood to leave, then halted, and bent to kiss his forehead lightly. And she knew that tomorrow she would be here again.
Vara walked out of his room, nodding to the waiting nurse. As the nurse returned to her post, Vara walked to her own room. She sat down in front of her vanity and looked in the mirror. She was pretty - she was beautiful! Her long red-gold hair reached down to her waist and her blue-green eyes, her father's eyes, were large and shapely. Her face was fair and flawless. On her brow was a red rune, a gift from the Red Phoenix, who had once been her mother's male, Tasuki. What had Kyo seen in her mother that was not in her?
She began to brush her long hair when a soft knock came and she said "Enter" knowing it was her maid. Florelle bowed to her Queen and began to help her undress, unfastening the long dark green velvet gown. She put on a thin, sheer nightdress that seemed to be spun of gold and a long emerald green robe over that. Green was her color; just as red was her mother's. Then she went out the door. Like her mother, she did not start the night in her own bed, but in the bed of one of her males.
Souten was her first male and he was a Thunder Demon, able to call down lightning. But he also had been hurt in the Great War, and was still recuperating. Two arrows had pierced him, one at the shoulder and one in the leg, forcing him to be bedridden. He was not a good patient, bored with bed. Mitsukake had resorted to putting calming drugs into his food or he would never get the rest he needed to heal. Souten was young, only 16, with long dark hair and red ovals for eyes. He looked like his father, Hiten, who was one of the Protectors of Otherworld. Vara quietly walked into his room to say goodnight to him, but he was already asleep. Mitsukake must be using even more drugs on his recalcitrant patient. She kissed his cheek and tucked the blankets around him.
On her way to her second male's room, she met Tekken, lord of the Bobcat Demons. He had also been instrumental in saving Suzaku and now his clan lived here, patrolling the lands, keeping its people safe. Tekken was astoundingly beautiful, with long red-gold hair flowing to his waist and large golden eyes. Sometimes it was hard to believe that this elegant man was a deadly Bobcat Demon. He bowed slightly, taking her hand and kissing it lightly, his golden eyes never leaving her face. She blushed under his scrutiny. Tekken always made her blush! Vara stammered a good night to him and quickly went on her way.
Tekken watched her depart. He would love to possess the beautiful girl, but that was impossible. She would bind him to her, making him a slave to her love. And he valued his freedom too much for that. And the wide variety of women he already had in his bed. He had tried them all! Dozens of Bobcat females, many of whom had given birth of his children, Fox Demons, Wind Demons, and many more which he had no recollection of. Tekken loved the ladies and they loved him. There had even been a couple of humans, usually taken because he was in heat, one of whom gave birth to his son, Tasuki, who had transformed into the Red Phoenix during the war and saved the capital city.
His oldest son was Tekki, who was mated to a human named Kenru and now lived in the Castle of Otherworld. Tekken liked Kenru but he would have preferred it if his son had become one of the males of Vara instead. Perhaps another one of his sons would suffice?
Vara quickly retreated from Tekken, going into her second male's room. Toyna was an Ice Demon with long blue hair and light blue eyes. He was tall, over six feet. No one knew where he got his height, his mother, the Ice Maiden Yukina, was not even five feet and his father, Toya, was only about 5'7". Vara entered without knocking. Toyna was sitting in bed, the covers at his waist. He smiled when she walked into the room.
She turned off the lamp on the nightstand and removed her robe, leaving the sheer gown on, showing glimpses of her body. Toyna pulled down the covers for her, exposing his lean, strong body. She sat on the bed, running her fingers through the nest of blue hair that surrounded his penis. He settled down into the pillows, opening his legs for her. Vara took the hint and reached further down to cradle his balls in her hand, lifting them slightly. Toyna closed his eyes letting the pleasure of her hands wash over him. While she played with her second male, her thoughts were divided between Kyo and Tekken.
Vara loved Kyo but the Dragon had shown no interest in her before and there was no reason to believe that would change when he recovered. She had no idea why she was in love with him, but she was. Every night she sat at his side, hoping that a miracle would happen and he would wake up and realize that she was exactly what he wanted.
Tekken she was afraid of. She knew the Bobcat Lord was what was known as a ladies' man, and a whole parade of females had been in his bed. The two sons she had met had been from different women - and different species! Tekken was a smooth as honey, his voice caressed you when he spoke, and his eyes looked at you as if you were the most beautiful woman in the world. He was dangerous! Her mother had suggested binding him to her, but there was no way she wanted to have that demon bound to her forever! Her mother liked to play with fire, binding the most powerful Fox Demon alive to her, Youko Kurama, followed by the deadly assassin Hiei, and even the Dog Lord Sesshomaru had been bound to her for a time. Aara had accepted Kyo's passions, but had discarded him in favor of her own males. Vara knew that she did not have her mother's strength. That's why she liked her two males; they required no effort on her part. They were young and the binding made them love her. She felt affection for them, but not love. It was safer that way!
