I'm a dragon, not a cat!

Southern territories
Northern gardens
The youngest princess, Mira, darted through the gardens while her mother, Lady Kira, observed from her seat. She dashed among the blossoms, laughing as Hiro, one of her mother's guards, kept an eye on her.
The princess was carefree as she played, filled with an inexplicable energy. Her mother permitted her to expend that energy in the garden where Kira cherished having her tea, as Mira delighted in frolicking among the beautiful blooms.
The north garden was a quaint little area located at the northern front of the southern castle. It boasted an array of harmless flowers that posed no danger if one happened to stumble or lie down amidst them. The blossoms showcased a vibrant variety of colors, including yellow, blue, soft pink, and orange.
No one anticipated what was about to unfold, and no one was aware of the signs. It was already too late when Kira sensed something amiss. Rising to her feet, she began to stroll through the garden, searching for anything unusual among the flowers. Though she couldn't pinpoint the source of her unease, she was certain it originated within the garden itself.
Mira paused her playful running and approached her mother. "Mommy, something feels off..." she whispered softly.
Kira glanced down at her daughter, noticing the fear in her youngest's eyes. While she could sense that something was amiss, she couldn't quite discern whether it was a good or bad feeling. It simply felt wrong.
Mira scanned the flower patch and spotted something her mother couldn't see. Amidst the light pink blooms lay a small white object stained with blood. She released her grip on her mother’s dress and went closer. Kneeling down, she blinked in surprise.
Kira hurried to her daughter’s side and knelt beside her. "What have you found?" she inquired, then turned to see what Mira was staring at. "Oh goodness..."
Mira reached out and picked up the tiny animal. Without waiting for a response, she dashed into the castle, heading straight for the room where Kai was training Soren.
The mage looked at the princess, momentarily taken aback. "What are you holding, Mira?" Kai asked, lowering himself to her level.
Soren approached, blinking in confusion as he examined the white, bloodied furball.
With tears welling in her eyes, Mira looked up at Kai, causing Soren to flinch slightly. "Kai-Kai, please heal the kitty."
Kai sighed and nodded. "Let me hold it, and I’ll heal it for you," he replied gently, extending his hands for the cat.
The princess nodded and carefully handed the kitten over to him. She then nestled against Soren, who embraced her tightly while watching his master.
Kai stood and walked to a nearby table, laying the kitten down before casting a simple healing spell. He observed as the cuts and bites gradually vanished. To his surprise, he realized this wasn’t just an ordinary kitten with tiny wings—it was a baby white dragon.
Once healed, Kai picked it up and returned to the princess. "Mira, your kitten is better now, but he needs some rest."
Mira slipped out of Soren's arms, taking the kitten from Kai with a grateful nod. "Thank you, Kai-Kai! That’s fine," she said, smiling softly. She bowed slightly before running out of the room.
Kai sighed and instructed Soren to resume his studies. He pondered why he was still in the southern lands, but knowing Mira, this lesson would soon be shifted to the northern territories.
In her room, Mira placed the kitten on her bed and rushed to her closet. She rummaged through her belongings until she found what she was looking for. Grabbing it, she dashed back to her bed and positioned the soft red pillow, a gift from Rose, beside her other pillows. She then settled on the bed, carefully placing the kitten on the pillow just as someone entered her room.
"So this is where you disappeared to," Kira said, stepping inside. She approached the bed and looked down at the white furball. Noticing some brown mixed in, she asked, "How's the kitten?"
Mira beamed up at her mother. "Kai-Kai healed him! Can I keep him?"
Lady Kira thought for a moment, reaching down to stroke the kitten's white fur. "Of course. I see no issue with having him around," she replied with a warm smile. "But you should see if he wants to stay. Ask him when he’s fully healed."
Mira nodded eagerly. "Okay, Mom."
It took a whole month for the kitten to completely recover, though he only needed a few days to wake up. Mira fed and cared for him, never noticing his wings. Within that month, he was flying around the castle, socializing with the princess and her mother. His origin remained a mystery, even to him, though he knew his name—Nall.
As two months passed, Nall became lively and was always near the princess, which everyone welcomed. However, Lady Kira began to sense something unusual about the cat. She realized he was, in fact, a baby dragon, though she couldn’t explain how she knew. Chibi dragons were exceedingly rare in Elyasia.
Years rolled by, and Mira ascended to rule the southern lands. A year later, Nall learned the truth about himself from Lyne and her mate, Yue. He spent some time with them to gain knowledge about his heritage.
He discovered the history of dragons and that he was the last white dragon of the southern clan. Yue taught him how to shift forms, although he himself lacked a chibi form, having been unaware that dragons could shrink to such sizes.
When Nall returned to the southern castle, Mira embraced him tightly, expressing how much she had missed her kitten. The force of her hug caused him to transform into his human form, leaving the princess momentarily stunned. The adorable flying cat had become a young man with light tan skin, red eyes, and white hair with brown highlights—though he was nude, causing Mira to blush intensely.
After fetching some clothes, he shared with the princess what he had learned, assuring her that he would still be her 'pet' if she wished. And she did.
Intrigued by his tales, Mira listened with a smile, assuring him that his dragon nature didn't change her affection—she loved having him close.
However, as time went on, Nall was still affectionately called a kitty by the princess, despite his frequent insistence that he was a dragon, not a cat. But no matter what, he would always remain her kitty, dragon or not.
